About our Members
Soroptimist members are women in business, management and the professions
who want to help local, national and international communities through
service projects.
Each Club includes a diverse range of women representing
many different professions and industry sectors. Members are chosen for
their individual qualities as well as their status in their chosen occupation.
What does it take to become a Soroptimist?
Commitment - enthusiasm - decision-making skills - a sense of humour -
planning, organisational skills - tenacity. Women bring a particular dimension
to solving some of the problems that exist around the world.
What are the obligations of each
member?
Membership confers a number of minimum obligations:
Attend the club meetings monthly. An apology should be
provided if a member is unable to attend a particular meeting or leave
of absence can be sought for an extended absence.
Serve on at least one sub-committee of your club.
Be prepared - sooner or later - to hold an office position within your
club (or possibly Region or Federation).
Pay your annual subscription by the due date.
Participate in the service work of your club to the best of your ability.

Registration of Interest
Soroptimist International of South Perth is always on the lookout for
new members. If you are a woman who would like to contribute to your community
and would like to find out more about the club, fill out our Membership
Form. Filling the form out does not commit you to becoming a member,
it simply provides us with an expression of interest and we will contact
you once we have received your details.
